Troy Steiner Technique Camp

Troy Steiner will be in Fargo to lead a wrestling camp for area wrestlers.  The dates are Aug. 6th - 8th.  This would be a great camp for your wrestler to learn new techniques and prepare for the upcoming season.  You can download the flyer here. 

USAW National Freestyle and Greco Results

Congratulations to Sam and Joseph for placing at USAW Nationals this past weekend.  Looking over the results we could have had a few more wrestlers compete for national placement.  Please consider this tournament next year.

Both boys were awarded All-American honors for each style of wrestling.


Northern Plains Regional Results

Tech Team had a nice showing at USA Wrestling Northern Plains Regional held in Rochester, MN, June 3-5, 2010. The top wrestlers from seven states were represented. These included; Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota, Minnesota, South Dakota, & Wisconsin. Two tournaments were held: Greco-Roman and Freestyle.

Will McCarthy named to ‘The Guillotine 2010 Academic All-State Wrestlers’ First Team

Will McCarthy, 119 lbs.
Border West, 11th
Will is a four-time state entrant placing third at 119 pounds this year in Class A. Will had a season record of 46-3. His current career record is 163-41. Will’s GPA is 3.69. Honors and achievements include team captain, 2010 Mental Aerobics Tournament fourth place, 2009 Big Horn Nationals second place, two years of choir, Spanish Club, Youth Leadership Forum Medical - Boston 2009, and People to People Friendship Games - Amsterdam 2008. Will is also a member of the National Honor Society. Future plans are to wrestle in college if he can get the opportunity. He plans to pursue a career in a medical field. Will’s parents are Bill and Kelly and his coach is Paul Frisch.
