Jared Franek did a fine job at this tourney wrestling in the 67 lb. weight class.  Against competition that could be up to 21 months older than him he went 2-2.  He had a real heartbreak in his final match where he was leading 4-0 with 10 seconds left and ended up losing 5-4.  Like I said in the post, he should be a good candidate to place next year.

Brandon Metz went 4-1 and took 2nd place in the 115-130 lb bracket.  He ran into a man child in his second match of the tourney.  Wasn't alot he could do against this guy due to the physical strength of his opponent.  Brandon came back strong and finished the tourney by winning his final bout for true 2nd.

Dakota Galt went 2-2 in the 80 lb weight class.  Dakota started off a little rocky in his first match to a kid from Maryland.  He then reeled off two wins on Friday before falling by a 6-4 decision to a wrestler from Team Miron of Ohio. 

From a talent perspective I think our kids are really a move or two away from placing in this event.  We were definately competitive in all of our brackets.  We are looking forward to heading down there again next year and throwing our hat into the ring.
