This past weekend we had 3 Tech Team Alums participate in the State Tourney at the Xcel Center in Minneapolis.  Mason Swegarden wrestled in the Class AA 112 lb class and lost his first and only match of the tourney.  For those that are unfamiliar with the one and out rules in MN they go like this.  If a wrestler loses his first match, and the opponent he lost to loses his next match, the loser of the first round does not advance to the consolation rounds.  With that being said, Mason had a great year and we are looking forward to a repeat appearance at the state tourney next year.

Will and Gus McCarthy participated in the Class A individual tournament at 119, and 103 lbs respectively.  Will ended up taking third.  After reviewing the final scores of the matches he participated in, it is a testament to the depth of the wrestling talent in MN.  Great job Will.  In the meantime, Gus made it to the championship this year and ended up in 2nd place.  That is an amazing accomplishment.  Congratulations to all, keep up the good work.
